Hello, all! My name is Andie, and I will be blogging here at Ecka & Pecka a few times a week! I’m so happy to be a part of such a creative endeavor.
For me, today is the day that I stand at the front of the class, recite my name, where I’m from and something I am good at. So here goes: my name is Andie Powers, I’m from Seattle and I’m really good at identifying dog breeds. There are over 500!
When I’m not discerning the Japanese Chins from the Pomeranians (merely a hobby), I am focusing on design and craft, at my shop and home-away-from home, Assemble Gallery & Studio.
Plus, I also write for blogs, Apartment Therapy and Neatloaf. In the remaining twenty minutes of the day, I spend time with my brand new husband, Christian, a brilliant high school English teacher, and my tiny chihuahua, Grady.
A few of my favorite things include This American Life, unexpected calligraphy styles, french press coffee, receiving a handwritten letter in the mail, good red wine, and Julia Child.
